Growth & Promotion

Grow a real audience honestly — a clean funnel from discovery to subscription, sustainable promotion, and cross-promotion that compounds. No spam, no pods.

Growth is a funnel, not a lottery ticket: attract the right attention, convert it with a profile that earns subscribers, and keep them. This program builds that funnel honestly — the shortcuts (bought followers, spam, engagement pods) buy numbers, not income, and can damage your standing.

It builds on your brand and feeds straight into monetization and retention. The quick-reference version is the Growth topic; the advanced, paid version is Advanced Growth & Paid Marketing.

Lesson 1 · Growth

The creator funnel

Every subscriber travels a path: they discover you somewhere, check out your profile, and decide to subscribe. That path is your funnel, and growth is the work of widening the top (reach) and tightening the conversions (profile, offer). Weakness anywhere leaks potential subscribers.

Map your own funnel honestly — where do people find you, and where do they drop off? Often the fix is not more traffic but a stronger profile and clearer offer, which is why we build those first.

Lesson 2 · Growth

On-platform discovery

People actively search and browse for creators on the platforms themselves. Understand how discovery works on your platform today — it changes, so confirm current behaviour at the source — and make yourself easy to find with a clear niche and complete profile.

A strong, specific angle is your biggest discovery advantage, because you become the obvious result for a defined want. Discovery you earn on-platform is durable and free, unlike traffic you have to keep buying.

Lesson 3 · Growth

Off-platform traffic, within the rules

An off-platform presence on channels where promotion is allowed is the top of your funnel. Pick one or two you can genuinely sustain — adult-friendly social networks like Bluesky are among the better options — and post consistently, on-brand, and within each channel’s rules. A single reliable feed that points back to your page beats five you abandon.

Always make the next step obvious; traffic with no clear path to subscribe is wasted attention. The full map of promotion channels is in the platforms guide.

Lesson 4 · Growth

Cross-promotion & collaborations

Cross-promotion with creators at a similar level is one of the most reliable ways to grow, because you are introduced to an audience that already pays for content like yours. Choose partners whose audience overlaps without being identical, agree clearly on what each side does, and deliver your half well.

Build relationships, not one-offs — repeat collaborators whose audiences trust their recommendations are worth far more than a single blast. The paid, at-scale version of this is covered in Advanced Growth.

Lesson 5 · Growth

A social presence that converts

On public channels, lead with personality and value, not constant advertising. Content that is genuinely funny, striking, or compelling gets shared and followed; pure promo gets ignored. Your brand and persona are what make that attention remember you.

Make the path back to your page effortless — a clear link and a reason to click — without turning every post into an ad. A following that enjoys you converts far better than a bigger one that does not.

Lesson 6 · Growth

Avoiding spam, pods & bought followers

Bought followers and engagement pods buy vanity numbers, not income, and can damage your reputation and standing. Spammy promotion gets accounts flagged or banned — the most expensive “cheap” growth there is. Honest growth is slower but compounds, and it does not put your account at risk.

Be especially wary of anyone promising explosive growth for a fee or your login — that is a classic scam, not a strategy. Protect the account that is your income.

Lesson 7 · Growth

Turning reach into subscribers

Reach is not income until it converts and stays. The bridge from follower to paying subscriber is a clear offer, a profile that proves value, and a price set with intention — covered in Pricing and Monetization. A funnel that brings thousands of visitors to a weak page still earns little.

And a subscriber is only valuable if they stay, which is why growth and retention are two halves of the same machine. Track what actually converts with your analytics and double down on it.

Common mistakes to avoid:
  • Buying followers or joining engagement pods.
  • Spreading across more channels than you can sustain.
  • Driving traffic to a weak profile and offer.
  • Chasing reach while ignoring retention.

Quick answers

Is buying followers ever worth it?

No — it buys numbers, not income, and can hurt your standing. Honest cross-promotion compounds.

How many promo channels should I run?

One or two you can genuinely sustain. A reliable feed beats five abandoned ones — see off-platform traffic.

Where do I promote an adult page?

Adult-friendly channels like Bluesky and on-platform discovery; always follow each platform’s rules.
